LastSay travels to Canada to work with mining project team

"LastSay."’s Managing Director Donna Cole was privileged recently to travel to Canada to work with the BMC Minerals team, to help with their strategic planning and messaging for their project (Kudz Ze Kayah), in the Yukon.

BMC is currently carrying out environmental and social baseline studies. These studies will build on and add to the data collected by previous owners in the 1990’s to support a submission to the Yukon Environmental and Socioeconomic Assessment Board (YESAB).

BMC is a mining development company focused on advancing superior base metals assets into development.

The BMC executive team has a strong track record of discovery, development and operation of independent zinc and other base metals projects worldwide.

"LastSay." enjoyed working with the team for key messaging and strategy and had some fun on and off the camera!

First new RFDS facility in WA in 50 years opens in Broome

"LastSay." was thrilled to be with the team from the Royal Flying Doctor Service for the official opening in Broome in May of its first new facility in Western Australia in 50 years.

Demand for the RFDS has increased substantially in the Kimberley region over the past  five years, and the new facilities will ensure the Flying Doctor can continue to meet the increasing and changing patient demand for our aero medical services in the north in the fastest and most efficient way.

Last year alone, the RFDS flew over 1,100 patients to and from Broome, making it our busiest transport hub in the north of the state.

The RFDS now has 15 Broome-based RFDS crew members in town; including four doctors, five nurses and five pilots.

With two aircraft hangars and a state of the art patient treatment centre; the introduction of additional capacity to Broome will mean the RFDS is better placed to more quickly respond to emergencies throughout the Kimberley and the Pilbara, enabling reduced flight times, and ultimately providing better outcomes for patients in the region.

The RFDS provides emergency care, lifesaving outcomes, and health treatment and advice to almost 70,000 people in Western Australia every year and has done now in WA for more than 80 years.  To donate to the RFDS call 1300 669 569 or check out www.flyingdoctor.org.au

LastSay client Foundation Housing CEO receives Queens Birthday honour

"LastSay." loves working with Foundation Housing – which provides homes for people in need and works with tenants, the community, government and others to reduce demand for social housing by supporting people out of the ‘poverty cycle’.

We were so proud recently to be part of the celebrations for Foundation Housing Chief Executive Officer Kathleen Gregory being awarded an Order of Australia Medal as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honour Awards.

Ms Gregory has been recognised for her work in the not for profit housing sector spanning almost 20 years, with almost three decades overall in not for profit organisations.

Well known for her role in affordable housing in Western Australia, Ms Gregory is often called upon to participate in advisory groups or sector-wide initiatives, due to her experience in the development of affordable housing strategies.
